What games are you playing? I probably would have bought more ram with it being so cheap, but other than that, it looks good. I have some of the same parts (monitor, motherboard, video card, and an e8500 cpu) and I'm satisfied with all of them.

Hope that helps.

Looks like a pretty good build. I agree with the above poster though, 4gb is almost necessary nowadays. Also, if you aren't going to be getting SLI I would not get that mobo. It won't OC as well as others and is more expensive. That psu is also not very good. Coolmax has good psu from 750w and up anything lower than that isn't very good. I would recommend either the Corsair 650w or the 750w if you plan on SLI.

i do plan on buying more ram after i get my paycheck afterwards, im just keeping this under budget because i want it in time for l4d and fallout 3, and dead space

also, i was going to go with a p5k deluxe for its stability, but then i picked this board because it supports pci-e 2.0, and will go up to tri-sli, so im set for it being future-proof for a while

and i picked the power supply because its modular, 700w, and cheap
it should hold me over if i plan to SLI the 9800GTX+, but tri-sli would need a stronger power supply

but does this build look like it would be able to hold me over for a while?

Theres a reason that PSU is cheap....SWITCH IT lately COOLMAX is getting bad reviews and ive read many where caps are blowing up..= NOT GOOD...

U will be sry for not getting a good PSU and it dies on u and takes multiple other parts with u

then would you direct me to a modular psu that will handle SLI 9800GTX+ and around 110-120$?

i picked that one because i was hoping it would cover 9800gtx+ in SLI mode, but im really not sure the minimum recommended for 9800gtx+ in SLI

This should do fine....Just for numbers I have an Antec Signature 650watt powering my dads rig which is a Q9550 and 2 9800GTX+s (not SLI but same power draw)

Also this Xigmatek should do fine also, havent seen any direct reviews, but its a CWT OEM like Thermaltake and the Corsair HX 1000 which are all solid

Also like others said, get a 2x2 set of ram. 4 GB is the new norm when it comes to PC's.

Looks good. And you said you're going to use the xigmatek?

Reply to br3nd064

yes sir, couple people told me to not use a not known brand, but all the reviews ive been reading about say that they are a up and coming quality brand that shells out decent products, so i figure i might try them to stick under my budget, i think ill buy a few parts tommorow
