So my Dad and I are thinking of buying my Mom a laptop for Christmas. Problem is i want an intel processor since I am not that impressed with the TurionTL-58 in mine. Most of the low end intel laptops have the T3200 chip in them. I want to know more about this chip. It runs at 2.0 GHz so it is relatively fast but since it is the low end, intel, dual-core option, there must be something weak about it.
I believe it is 667 FSB, 1mb shared L2 cache, and 65nm process. But where are the benchmarks???? I have searched google high and low for performance numbers and i can't seem to find them. A search of "T3200" on Tom's returns nothing even on the forums. Any link to a review of this processor would be helpful. I am really wondering what it like compared to the TL-60. Is it worth the extra $50 - $100 for this processor over the AMD?
