Ok so I have a setup like this, I have 2 computers and 1 monitor. My monitor has 1 DVI port, I need to make some sort of solution for this. So I want to be able to some how display 1 pc and sometimes switch to the 2nd pc without replugging everything in. If you guys have any suggestions in mind would be great. Thank you!

Both pcs have dvi outputs only,

Can you find a KVM cable? I used one for years to build new computers before I started buying USB mice and keyboards and didn't buy a new set. I loved it for working on two computers with one mouse/keyboard/monitor.

THis is the cheapest I can find

Unless you need to show video, overlays, or 3D graphics on both computers, why not just Remote Desktop from one to the other (preferably to the one for which none of the above are required), and then minimize that window when not required?

Admittedly, you won't have perfect performance in RD but it will work.

Alternatively, if RD won't do for your scenario, look into KVM switches and similar. They have them for DVI: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817183304

get a KVM switch (keyboard, video, mouse). It will let you use the same monitor etc for both computers

can anyone recommend a cheap KVM switch? it doesnt really need the mouse keyboard part if it makes it cheaper.

It doesn't really look like there are cheap ones for DVI. I think I paid like $25 for my d-sub KVM like 4 years ago. It doesn't look like DVI ones have fallen in price much.

Look on eBay for a KVM splitter and just simply buy 2 DVI to VGA adaptors.
