http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119047
But I am looking for better suggestions, although that case has great ratings

and as for the motherboard and ram I need suggestions i have been tossing to many around by my self to stand still and would like some outside recommendations. a LGA 775 socket and depending on the board would slove the ram problem. Was looking for more than 1 2xpci-e slots in case i wanted to SLI in the near future.

I am looking to stay under the 1300 mark so please don't post links to make me drool.

oooh SLI in future...

Good choice on PSU if you want SLI in the future...

Mobo something 790i would probably be best i think the 750i is the one under it would be good for cheaper...

Any brand name ram at 800mhz will be enough.... Corsair, Crucial, Patriot, Geil... then its just up to amount and price ;)

Id honestly wait for a few months and get a 1366 nehalem core. after the prices drop a bit in the next few months (the motherboard prices need to drop a bit, as more competitors enter and bios improve (dont get a bad brand either, wait for a good one to make a mid range)). Also are you planning to oc at all ect. As far as case goes id rather go for this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119137 . The centurion isnt a bad case, but if your sli'ing it could get a bit crowded in there. The 690 offers a little more room and better airflow. AS far as ram goes I don't know know the best ratios for quads if anyone else wants to fill that one. Id say something with EPP would be best for you, but as far as bus ect for quads I just dont know. As far as motherboards go, I prefer DFI or Gigabyte. As far as that mobo suggestion above. I'd disagree unless your planning to overclock and know what your doing. Keep in mind reviews aren't alwways what they seem for overclocking. There are different bin's ect that get all different values so if you plan to overclock and don't understand it. Well the gist is you need to continually try different frequencies (preferably through bios if possible). As for that ram, I don't necessarily know the specifics of quads. But i know if your getting a 790i you want higher than 800 or else ram ratios won't match up and your not maximizing your performance. As far as sli goes, reviews can be deceptive at times. WHen sli shows off it's stuff it's at high resolutions, which the majority of people do not have a monitor accompying high resolutions. Most reviews showing sli show it at these high resolutions. Unless your monitor displays 1900+ I only think youd see like 30% gain in the sli. Which even 1900 probnably won't give you the full advantage. I prefer redlines for my ram (but corsair is still an amazing brand). But if you are planning on ocing, stock hsf isn't a good idea. Also as far as your harddrive, i'd rather spend the extra few bucks and get one with 32mb cache instead of the 16mb you suggested.

Edit: after looking at current nehalem boards it is in your price range if you want to go for nehalem instead of q9550 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188039

You just jacked the motherboard price up $150
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131232

And that RAM??? what are you thinking... Firstly its Dual Channel (although this will work i7 is designed for Triple) and the default voltage is 1.7v considering Nehalem has warning of running memory over 1.65v thats not a good idea either.

Admittedly i7 is a better CPU right now, i dont think its worth the extra especially if you dont mind getting a Q6600 over the Q9550 as its heaps cheaper and will overclock to Q9550 speeds...

As for RAM hows CAS4 at half the price of the ddr3 above
