I want to put the best processor I can, no matter the price or consumption.
I don´t know if I was going to be better faster clock speed or multitasking with low speed.
I like the OS boot quickly, I will not play more with the pc (I have a 360), and usually use the typical office programs, autocad, photoshop and GIS software ...

For now I prefer three cores because I see something else new, but I need our help to convince me.

THANKYOU!!

What do you plan to do with it? That will make a difference. If you want to game then a higher clocked dual would be best, expect for those few games that take advantage of more than 2 cores.

If you plan on doing other things like media encoding and such then a tri would be better as most of those apps can utilize quad cores or even more.

My computer is an Asus Pundit Barebone, "P2-M3A3200"

http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=1&l2=3&l3=483&l4=0&model=2562&modelmenu=2

In Specs says that supports Phenom Processors, but if you gou to the Asus Support page, CPUs Support:

http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

And select:
Search CPU Using : Barebone
Type : SocketAM2/AM2+
Name : P2-M3A3200

The list that apears is the same that I written up.

I have dubts ...

What CPU will go faster with the SO??
Aplicatios??
Multimedia??
Games??

Splendid
If you want the PC to boot quicker, go to start>run and type in msconfig

disable as many useless things as you can from startup (DON'T disable anything you're not certain about)

i dont think the board supports Phenoms over 95w TDP. I would say take the Phenom X3 since most games are gpu limited anyway and it should be a better multitasker so it'll be better in autocad and photoshop no doubt.

It's strange, but I don´t know why I can´t put a 4 cores processor if they are older than those of 3 and operate at the same voltage. But puts that into the support page and must be correct, not?.

I guess then that the 8750 is better, right?

thanks for the replys!!
