External hard drive crashes

Hello,
i plug my external hard drive in to the ps3 , and then all of the sudden it spark. i had a WD MY BOOK USB 3.0. can i some how fix it or recover the file in it

hey it still didnt' work and like i even bought the direct cable but it useless . so is there anything else i can do
