Question on BIA: Hell's Highway

I am playing with dual 260's and a 30-inch monitor. No matter what resolution I play, whenever I look at the bazooka team (i.e. they are on the screen at all), framerates slip to low teens for some reason. It's so weird and I haven't yet figured out whats going on. Someone on the Gamespot forums was having the same problem, and both our systems far far exceed requirements (2560 by 1600 is no trouble for me except when the bazooka team is on screen). Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

I just completed the game and didn't have this issue.

Do you have any forced 3D options? Those seem to be messing with this game from what I have read.

Nope, normal options. I got far enough to realize that the same thing happens when a rifle with a sniper scope is on the screen. Weird, huh? Only happens when either the bazooka or sniper rifle is on screen (I don't have to be holding it, anytime its on screen the framerates drop).
