Hardware id missing Tags: Hard Drives Hardware Western Digital Storage Last response: February 25, 2010 12:37 PM in Storage Share noahbyrd February 24, 2010 3:43:03 PM When I try to use my external Western Digital 350 combo drive, I get a "hardware I.D. missing" message. Tried on both an XP and a Vista computer. Also, tried both the usb and firewire connection. Also tried a different Power Supply.
