i have a motherboard with p35 chipset right now.

Will i be able to support 2 nvidias linked by SLI on a motherboard with p35 or p45? What about one nvidia graphics card with the sli capability but not actually linking with another one on a p35 or p45?

Do you need a nvidia capable chipset to link 2 nvidias?

Thank you all

You need Nvidia chipset for SLI period!! Intel supports crossfire. The new x58 will support both, but you will need a I7 CPU and DDR3 ram.

You won't be able to sli on a p35 or p45, but, yes, you'll be able to put in 2 cards not use them for sli. Yes, you need an nforce board to link 2 nvidia cards together. I'd recommend the 680i, 750i, or 780i.
