Splash screen delay from ssd

Hello, I recently put in an Intel X25-V ssd into my hp tablet pc (tx2500) and the strangest thing occurs when I do a cold boot. After the post screen, the windows loading screen takes a good 30 seconds just to appear (the four colorful lights). However, when I restart, the effect rarely takes over 5 seconds.

Is there any way to solve this? Not to be picky about startup times but I really want to know what's going on.

Try having a look at your BIOS options. It may be that your BIOS is doing an exhaustive memory test when it's initially powered on that it doesn't do on a restart.
