Hi,

I am getting a XFX GTX260 black edition or ASUS HD 4870 1 GB (not sure which would be better) for my PC

Pc specs:

ASUS M2NE with Nforce 570 Ultra
AMD Athlon x2 5000+
Corsair 2 x 1gb XMS2 6400 @ 800mhz
Seasonic 550W PSU

but I think my CPU may be a bottle neck for the GPU. As my mother board supports AM2+ and I have checked at ASUS that with an updated bios it can support X3 and X4 CPUs. So do u guys recommend me getting a Phenom X4 9550 for my limited budget and keep the rest as it is?

Thanks

It will not do you a lot of good for gaming instead you could overclock your 5000+

Your fine. Just wait for prices to go down. Maybe the Phenom II will be cheaper or will push down the price of the Phenom.

^ I agree, thanx. maybe that will also push down the price of intel, incase i decide to switch to intel.
