Bit of Advice on Mobo Testing

Hello all,

Im on a bit of a budget so cant order all components for my new PC at once. Just received an ASUS P5Q-e motherboard, CPU, memory and ATX case from newegg. Powersupply is coming this week. Is there any way that i can test the components without hooking up to a screen as I dont have a video card yet. i.e. beeps from POST or something.

Will be ordering the HD, DVD-R and GPU soon, and hopefully within the return period for the rest of the components. Would just like to return any dodgy components at the earliest possible time.

Can't you find an old PCI video card? That would be good enough for basic testing. Did you make a bootable USB key to be able to perform some tests?
