Memory cas latency Tags: Memory Latency Last response: January 16, 2009 10:46 AM in Memory Share jberry72 January 16, 2009 5:56:53 AM memory cas latency is it better to have for say a 7-7-7-20 or like a 5-5-5-15? i guess my question is when buying memory do yo u want lower cas lat numbers or higher? it would be for gaming. also what is faster sddr or ddr? thanks More about : memory cas latency merlinbadman January 16, 2009 9:30:04 AM Cas latency is the first value in RAM timings. In general lower latencey values are better, however ram speed is a factor as well. sddr? do you mean SDRAM? If so that is very old and not used anymore. For a details explanation of ram timings have a read of this: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/26 jberry72 January 16, 2009 10:46:56 AM my mistake on the sdram. sorry. thank you Can't find your answer ?
