Memory cas latency

memory cas latency is it better to have for say a 7-7-7-20 or like a 5-5-5-15?
i guess my question is when buying memory do yo u want lower cas lat numbers or higher?
it would be for gaming.
also what is faster sddr or ddr?

Cas latency is the first value in RAM timings. In general lower latencey values are better, however ram speed is a factor as well.

sddr? do you mean SDRAM? If so that is very old and not used anymore.
