Windows XP runs in safe mode only PLS help

Since my cd-drive died on one of my computers, I took out the hard drive of it and used it on another computer in order to reinstall Windows XP. The installation went perfectly well and I am able to start Windows XP on the computer where I reinstalled it. But, when i put back the hard drive into the old PC, it loads to the part where the bars go on, and then restarts without opening Windows. I am able though to start it in safe mode. PLS HELP, how can I make it run in normal mode too?

You can't without doing a Repair Installation and then it won't run in the other computer since the hard drive controller is different.

You could also just take the defective optical drive out and swap in the one from the working computer just so you can install windows.
