Hi,
I am looking at building a new PC, the hardware I was going to get was:
E5200
New Motherboard
4 GB DDR2 RAM
Geforce 9800 GTX+ (the most expensive thing :P)

Hard drive/optical drive, I will pull out from my current CPU. However, would this be a good time to purchase or would you advice waiting a bit until the new socket is released by Intel, or is that not for a while? I was looking at building this computer around Christmas.

Thanks and regards

Build now. It's true Nehalem's releasing later this year, but it won't be worth it at the entry prices at least until mid 2009. So sayeth all the pundits.

Wait until Nehalem come out as same time as Nvidia 3xx series, so hopefully some CPU and Vcard might drop.

If you are in no rush, wait until Fri Nov 31(black friday) friday after thanks giving. everything are on sale on that day.

Thanks for the replies. Regardless I am currently in the UK and have to wait until I get back to Canada before I can build my PC (end of year). Hopefully, prices will have dropped by then.
