• ASUS P5Q PRO P45 Motherboard
• Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Processor BX80570E8400 - 3.0GHz, 6MB Cache, 1333MHz FSB, Wolfdale, Dual-Core, Retail, Socket 775,OR Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Processor HH80562PH0568M - 2.40GHz, 8MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB, Kentsfield, Quad-Core, OEM, Socket 775, Processor
• GeForce 8800 GT
• 2 X 2 GB Ram (what RAM should I get?)
• Western Digital's Caviar SE16 640GB hard drive OR Seagate ST3640323AS 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

1) Does that make sense? are some parts too good and some parts too bad? Is it well balanced?

2) What other things do i need?
3) Will I be able to play TF2, COD4, CS 1.6, and other high-end and future games smoothly and at high settings?
4)What RAM should I get?
5) What PSU should I get?
6) WHat case should i geT?
7) I plan to overclock either one of the CPUs. Which one should i get?
AND OF COURSE
Is everything I have campatible so far??

Please help me. I am looking for a budget computer system that can play those games. Thanks.

7) Q6600 get it to about 3.0 ghz with an aftermarket cooler and you're golden.
6) Antec 900 probably or something a cheaper depends on you price range
5) If your only getting 1 gpu for forever yeah its overkill. If you plan on buying another 8800 then you'll need it later.
4) Mushkin its about 50 for 4 gigs
3) Depends on how many fps you want and if you like AA and so on... but for the most part on lower resolutions yes, if you want thought the 4850 is the king of price to performance right now.
2) an aftermarket cooler if your going to overclock, antistatic wristbands when you build (duh), Arctic 5 thermal compound if you buy aftermarket cooler
1) For the most part yeah, but the psu is still overkill if your only going to get one card.

I recently helped pic out a system from my brother, we went with a 8800gts, E8400, 2 gigs of ram. Runs every game so far(including stalker clear sky and crysis warhead) on maxed settings 1600x1200.

1 600W is enough for a single GPU system.
2 Optical drive
3 At high settings, you WON'T be able to smoothly play all the games you want. Depends a lot also on the res you're playing at. Better to invest in at least the 4850.
4 Any memory will do. Make sure it's clock to at least 800MHz.
5 Thermaltake. They have a range of 550 and 600W products.
6 Personally, I'm a big fan of Thermaltake
7 The quad.
