just a question but, what is a 9500GX2? i know theres a 9800gx2....
if you want to be able to ploay all the games at their highest possible settings, get a pair of 4870s and crossfire them on this board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131299 add about 8gigs of DDR2 1066 or 1333 the 9800gx2 scales very strangely in differant games so it would probably be wise to just get a crossfire config witht hat mobo.
On an Intel board, with no overclocking, your RAM will be defaulted to 1.8V, so the timing will be whatever it is at that voltage, not what the manufacturer claims it can reach at 2.1V, 2.2V, or even more. Expect 6-6-6-18 or worse.
Furthermore, you've listed a P35 board. They do not play nicely with DDR2-1066 RAM, so get DDR2-800.

happy gaming!
crossfire on a P45 board is a bad Idea, He didnt say he wanted to spend $600 on video cards, and why does he need 8gbs of ram?
9500GX2 is basically a useless card my friend. If you are going budget like that your best bet would be to get a Crossfire MOBO and Crossfire 4670s it will run about the same as a 4850, and 4670s can be $80/each so $160 total investment.
9500 is a very worthless card.

4870 crossfire is basicly the same price as the 4870x2. there is little performance differance between the two BESIDES the 4870x2's 2gigs.
and hey, never can have enough ram
No, it is not the same thing as 4870 crossfire. The reason being is that the 4870's communicate across the PCI-E bus, which hurts it even more when the P45 only has two 8x slots instead of the full two 16x. Therefore the 4870X2 would perform better in his scenario due to the 4870's having their own PCI-E interface on the card, between the 2 GPU's. Overall, the best deal for him would be the 4870X2. + to the person posting 2x4670.... 4850 > 2x4670. Get the facts right.
Thanks to all of you, definitely it is the 9800GX2 I was talking about initially, but all of you agreed that it would not be a good choice...
Thanks to you terror112, I will go for ASUS P5Q Pro LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard.
I think there is no need to go for jtt283 rams suggestion any more and the DDR2-1066 RAM would do a great job (am I right?).
But regarding the GPU I am a bit lost on what to do: Crossfire 4870X2 would be the best option or I go back to 8800GTX?????????????
DDR2-1066 is essentially DDR2-800 that the manufacturer has been able to overclock on higher voltage. Quality DDR2-800 will do the same for you, and cost less.

Well, looking at Cleeve's GPU hierarchy, it looks like you'll want a 4870X2 (if your budget allows). A 4870 would be a step down, but not step on your wallet as hard.
