It just seems I have more and more bad luck.

I orginally bought an ATI X1300 graphics card, but it seems my hp slimline pc psu cant keep up.. so the screen would flash on and off etc..

Eventually my monitor could not read a video signal from the card.

I bought a Jaxton low profile video card pcie.. that should meet the power requirements.

The end of the video card where the dvi port is appears to be too long for the case... it sticks out.. Am I missing something?

There really is then hardly any video cards that will fit an hp slimline?

I am getting tired and frustrated on buying video cards and having to return them.

To make matters worse I broke hte plastic clasp for the video card.

i have my dell xps now.. I am basically just needing to replace the video card on the hp slimline so i can wipe the hd and then give it to a friend of mine.

Any help would be apprecaited.

Do you mean the pci mounting bracket? (l shaped bracket at the end of the card that allows the card to be screwed in to the case.)

see if this looks right. It comes with a special low profile mounting bracket.
