Need help finding a PSU

I've just upgraded to a GTX 280 and I need a more powerful PSU.
Right now I am using a BFG 650W PSU, it has +12V1 - 20A and +12V2 - 20A, but I believe I need a PSU with 40A 12V's, can anyone help me find one with atleast 600W with an 8 pin connector and possibly a 6 pin connector , I'll most likely be buying from www.memoryexpress.com

or the 750W equivelant? they both have the 8 pin molex and 6 pin molex right?

well if you have enough 4-pin molex connectors, you maybe do not even have to buy a new PSU. Why don't you just get an adapter from molex to 6 or 8 pin for the GPU.

I only have one 4-pin connector and it is currently used on the motherboard, I have two 6-pin connectors which I am using a 2x 6-pin to 8-pin connector, however it is maxing out the 20 amp rails I have, and I need a more powerful and consistent 12v Rail.

My GFX Manafacturer doesn't recommend using an adapter either.

I'm going to go with the 750w Corsair PSU, will this be perfect ? I need both a 6 pin and 8 pin molex. Anyone have any prior use with one of these or used a corsair PSU before ?

Your current PSU is a decent unit and will not be "maxing out" your 12v rails.

GTX280 uses 178w max

the 40amp PSU is for the whole rig and is generally based off an intel extreme cpu system.

If your rig is running fine now id leave it.

Alright thanks for the info, I think I'm going to upgrade to the 750w one though as I'm using alot of power as it is.
