Awesome system you will really enjoy it. if i was going to change one thing it would be power supply would get a PC and power or a silverstone something around 850 should be plenty for anything you need to do. I was lazy and did not compare price on this so i might be wrong. but i know you can not go wrong on these power supplies. i have a PC & power 610w running a overclocked Q6600 and 2 3870's. and very stable. read this article to get a good example. http://www.anandtech.com/casecoolingpsus/showdoc.aspx?i=3413

Good luck and have fun...

Is the Q9550 that much better than the Q6600 for the money. Like I said I'm a newb. thanks PCnut I'll check out the power supplies.

The Q9550 is the newer 45nm technology which means it will run cooler and has some improved instruction sets and various optimizations. The Q9550 also has 12MB cache vs 8MB for the Q6600. The Q6600 is certainly no slouch, but the rest of your build is so high-end, it seems like the Q9550 is a better match. You won't be disappointed with either!
