Hey there... I hope someone can give some sound advice...

I've been putting up with my Northbridge fan on my k9n diamond (MS-7226) for far too long. I've already replaced it once because it burned out, and this new one I have is louder than a Godzilla made of garbage.

Can someone who owns this motherboard PLEASE give me advice on a fanless solution for cooling the northbridge? I have a Zalman on the CPU which takes up some space, so there isn't a lot of room for Northbridge cooling, but some sort of decent fanless heatsink would be nice, something someone has used and knows works for the k9n diamond.

Thanks so much in advance.

hi i have the same problem. the noise of the fan drives me crazy http://img.tomshardware.com/forum/uk/icones/smilies/pt1cable.gif.

how hot does yours get? mine sits at a temp of 51.8 C.

found a block that should fit the lower block but i am having fun trying to find a block to put on the higher one.

I have a water cooled cpu and gpus so i will conect the bocks to the cooling system.

how about this block for the lower one Alphacool NexXxoS NB-SLI Northbridge Cooler .

it will fit below the grafic cards but still haveing problems with the top
