Help me decide here

Alright guys. I'm about to buy the e7200 to replace my outdated E6300. Now in a month or two I'm gonna buy a new vid card. I currently have an 8800GT. Should I SLI my 8800GT? I have an SLI motherboard. So I don't have to worry about that. Or should I just buy a new video card. A vid card 300$ or less.

Yeah They are good. But SLI takes up more power. Which I have a 550 Watt psu.


Also I'm looking at a GTX 260. Should I get that?

You should get the best one that you can afford. Check out some benchmarks and buy the fastest card(s) that you can. Just remember to make sure you have the right 6 and or 8 pin connectors coming from your PSU and enough total system power.

Yes, it'll fit. But get a second 8800gt anyway. The performance difference between one gtx260 and two 8800gt is staggering.

WOAH! Thanks for showing me that. So SLI 8800GT beats the GTX280 in couple of games? Great! Also would a 550W PSU work? and would my 8800GT bottleneck with an E6300?

I just decided to buy a cooler instead of a new CPU. Which I'm sure an OC'd E6300 is better the e7200.

If your psu is stable and of good quality, it'll work.

I have an 8800 gts 512mb but am planning on doing the evga stepup and get a gtx 260 for 100$. If i do this will the 260 bottleneck with my e6300. Btw if i do get the gtx ill get a q6600 but for the time being would it bottleneck
