Having problem when i install new OS

Problem: I'm facing problem when i install new OS on my H.D.D.. It takes around 1hour of installation of new Windows. I tried Windows XP Sp3 and also Windows 7 ultimate 32-64bit on my PC. Both takes around 1hour of installation.. and OS doesn't run perfectly or smoothly. eveytime it keep on hanging. This problem also occured when i created new partition for the first time (bought newly).

I've checked my ROM with different H.D.D (Seagate 1.0TB 32MB cache) it did perfectly within 15minutes and runs perfectly and smoothly like it does.

So, tell me what should i do to get rid of this problem? and i've important data of about 300GB in it.

H.D.D.: WD carvier green 1.0TB 64MB cache

Put the Seagate back in....with the Caviar as a 2nd non boot drive, take off the data, RMA the Caviar.

This is the problem i sold my seagate H.D.D now i bought 64MB cache H.D.D. but it sucks. i wanna know that is this the problem of my WD or anything else i did wrong?

Having same problem or similar New Western Digital caviar Black 1TB and windows 7 taking ages to install then hangs on start up
