I stopped playing SWG just after Christmas and began playing EQ2. All of my
friends from the game had left to go to EQ2 or WoW, and I for one will never
ever play another Blizzard game again. I didn't cancel my main SWG account
in hopes that the combat revamp will save the game for me.

So, I logged in today to see what the GCW changes were like. I load in
inside Theed's cantina. No one around like usual. Most everyone AFKs in
Coronet on my server. I go to check the option to display my rank and
thought better of it...not much sense in showing off the awe-inspiring rank
of Staff Sergeant. I notice that I defaulted to Imperial Combatant. Safe
from PvP but still KoS to Rebel NPCs. Fine, no biggie. I'm in Theed! I'm
safe. Boy was I wrong.

Apparently all it took the Rebels was a whole day to take control of Naboo.
I was jumped by a Rebel npc with the name *crack* in it somewhere. I bust a
move and head to the starport to board my Interceptor. Three more Rebel
guards there. I hit Burst Run and book it outside the city until I lost
aggro. I was forced to go in the back way to leave the planet on my ship.
I'm afraid to check out Coronet since it is the only place to get buffed.

Wow. =)

To change the control of a non-alligned city (Anchorhead will always be
rebel and bestine will aways be imp), first you need to have more bases on
the planet than the otherside. Then you need to kill all of the NPC's in
the citys. E.g rebels have more bases on tat, so they are winning that
war. Then rebel players kill all the stomies and imp npc in the non-player
citys. Then the npc's will be replaced by rebels and the city becomes rebel
control..

All but the cantinas <sigh>. No matter who controls the planet, STs raid
the cantina every few minutes and fill up spatial with stupid spam. All too
often, there's another patrol coming in while the first one is still there
blathering!
