C2Q Q9550 HELP!!

My Intel C2Q Q9550 (2.83Ghz) idles @ 38-44 C according 2 SpeedFan. w/ OEM fan and 20 C room temp. is it safe to do sum ocing? also, if u own a q9550, could u tell me the clock and temps dat ur getting? just for refrence. thanks

I have a Q9550 running at 3.5Ghz (412X8.5) under 100% CPU load and temps right now are core 1 @ 60C, core 2 @ 54C, core 3 @ 52C, and core 4 @ 52C.

Idle temps are core 1 @ 47C, core 2 @ 42C, core 3 @ 42C, and core 4 @ 42C.

These readings are RealTemp core temperatures and the room is at 20C.

Cooling solution is an OCZ Vendetta 2 with one 120mm fan and three 120mm case fans.

GPU is also under full load.

CPU voltage is at 1.31V

thanks but you didnt tell me: are the temps and the OEM fan that i have ok for ocing? im planning on keeping the cpu for a while so i want the temps to be reasonably low. btw i have an awesome NZXT Tempest case w/ 3 120mm intake fans; 1 120mm exhaust fan; and 2 more 140mm exhaust fans).

Typically mild to moderate overclocking with stock cooling is ok. Just watch your temps as you go.
