512MB or 1G?

I have a 22" monitor and was wondering whether getting a 9800GT 1G would be any better then a 9800GT 512 MB. Would the 512 perform better then the 1G or would the 1G be better then the 512?

Depends on the monitor resolution not its size. My 512mb cards don't hit a memory shortage until I exceed 1920x1080 (Native on my monitor being 1920x1200... Argh!) so I'd stick with a single 512mb and take the price difference to upgrade the card.

I have a choice of either from my supplier for the same price but he said that i would get more out of the 512. I just didnt think it sounded true so what would you go if they were the same price?

I'd get the 1gb if the prices are similar. As games use larger textures (always happening) 512mb will handle smaller and smaller resolutions.
