Hey guys,

I just saw what u guys did to overclock the Intel Q9400 !

I'm really imprest and want tot overclock it around 3.2 GHz too!!

Well I have an option on my motherboard what calls (D.O.T) Dynamic Overclocking thing... , would that be enough or do I have to change some other Things as well ......!!!

Please anyone who can tell me stap voor stap! Cause I'm kind of new in Overclocking world :)

My system is:

- Intel Q9400
- MSI P7N2 Diamond, nForce-790i Ultra SLI, Socket-775, ATX, DDR3
- Crucial DDR3 BallistiX 1600MHz 6GB CL8 Kit w/3x 2GB BallistiX modules, CL8-8-8-24, 1.65V
- Xfx 8800 gtx 768 mb (x2- SLI)
- And I've got a Water cooling system, ( so Ijust have to add another Radiator to make it cooler!)

Thank u guys already and happy new year.

Cheers,
Ehsan.

3.2 should be easy enough on that chip, mine was running fine at 3.8 and was willing to go higher.

You have to set the ram to run as slow as possible which I think is a 1:1 ratio, this is because the chip has a low multiplier and you have to run the system bus pretty fast. I think you have to set the PCI bus to run at 100. At 3.2 you probably don't have to make any other changes. (It's been a year since I worked on mine so I might not remember it all.)
