I got flamed when on another post about wanting to build a custom laptop for gaming... Why is this a bad idea?

a high end laptop too. Is it because you cant replace the parts?

They run hot, the VGAs in them run even hotter, they are expensive and you can't easily replace parts. If you are he|| bent on it being portable, and understand the drawbacks, then go for it. If not, then build a mid-tower.

Not worth getting since the battery life on gaming laptop sucks balls. Like the other user said, it runs hot and it hard to upgrade.
