Yes the game ships tuesday, it will probably be available in stores and on steam Wednesday but I'm sure ATI and a select few has a finished copy in their hands.

You jerk, go buy the game. You should be banned and beaten with oversized rubber hoses.

I have heard that if you have a HD4870 to just install the 8.10 drivers. I have a HD2900Pro 1GB and installed the 8.10 drivers and never have nay issue except the game randomly closing on me after about 1 hour of play or more.

I bought the game on launch. Needless to say, I feel like Ubisoft just beat me with an oversized rubber hose. 4:3 cropped, instead of native widescreen resolution (already got the FOV hack, but that's besides the point). Terrible multiplayer, even worse than Crysis, which is hard to beat. And almost no story whatsoever, less than even Crysis.

I will say one thing though, I absolutely love the engine. Extremely optimized for what it does. I'm using a 2900 Pro 512mb stock and I'm running at around 45 FPS constant as I wait for my new 4850, and it plays with everything turned to max quality, 2x AA, and 1366x768 res.

The story is there. It gets more and more in depth as you play the main missions and find the Jackle and Predecessor tapes. Kinda like Oblivion how you would never remember the story as you run town to town killing everything but its there and its good.

BTW are you running everything on Very High or Ultra high? Cuz I have a HD2900Pro 1GB OCed to 816MHz core and 950MHz (1900MHz effective) memory and get 40FPS average @ 1280x1024 on Ultra High no AA. It jumps between 35-60FPS depending on what I am doing. But its smooth as hell for a new game on a year+ old card.
