which is faster, GDDR3 or DDR3? just wondering before i get a new gpu

there is no difference. Some websites call it DDR3, but true DDR3 is system ram, the successor to DDR2. The only kind of memory a video card could have is GDDR3. DDR3 for video cards doesn't actually exist.
