This is to be the new family gaming rig in the household...
* We will OC with air cooling
* Intel platform
* Potential for excellent OC's, with stability/reliability
* Will not run SLI nor Crossfire (one GTX280)
* One HD (WD / VeloRaptor)
* Will get 6-8 gig ram
* W/ Vista Ultimate 64 bit OS
* Have PCP&C 610W Silencer...good enough?

What one MB would you get w/ the above guidelines, in both 775 and X58 form-factors...

Appreciate your input... I cannot decide...

More about : neo red pill blue

well, how about a asus P5Q deluxe p45- cheap, relible, very good overclocker, and laods of toys.
for X58 asus P6K same as above really

the the PC power and cooling is regarded as THE best brands out there =)

Thx, AMG...

For "775" form factor... how 'bout the Gigabyte GA-EP45-DQ6....many have raved about it's OC'ing capability...

For X58, you say Asus "P6K"...do you mean the "P6T-WS-Revolution"? And, how about the Rampage II Extreme.... but is that over-kill for a guy that will have one or two HD's and one video card....and no fancy stuff...

Because I already have an E8400 cpu, I am leaning to a 775 board... but, hate to invest in a level of tech that is near the end of it's life, in terms of fast gaming reqirements... am I wrong?
