Intel E8600 Or Q9650?

Ok I Have a asus LGA775 Rampage Formula Motherboard and im woundering what cpu to get.now my other componets are Windows Vista SP1 Ultimate 64 Bit,zalman 850 watt PSU,mushkin 4GB 240-Pin SDRAM DDR2 1066 X2 kits for a total of 8gigs of ram,MSI R4870X2-T2D2G-OC Radeon HD 4870 X2 2GB 512-bit Video card,COOLER MASTER V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler, and a LG - 24" Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD Monitor Model: W2452T-TF at 1920 x 1200 resolution.now i am a major gamer and im hesitent to upgrade to the i7 series(im going to wait a few years before upgrading) plus dont have the money lol just got enough cash for one of these cpus so witch one will last me longer and give me the best preformance?All Help is apriciated.Thanks.

Oh ok i heard most pc games today are more optmized for dual cores but i do get tho getting me a quad will last longer hopefully games will catch up to quad cores lol.

+1 for Q9650. You will get that to 4Ghz anyway and games are already out now that will use quad cores - Far Cry 2, GTA IV and there will only be more to come. (In the case of GTA IV it will play badly without a quad core!)
