I'm looking to buy an Antec 1200 and was just wondering if anyone had first-had experience of whether the 4pin 12v cable will be long enough on a Corsair HX520 or will I need an extender?

Cheers

I believe the exact positioning of the corresponding plug on the motherboard is motherboard specific, so you'll have to add that information to get a meaningful answer. I have neither part, so I can't help regardless.

As you can see, the connector in question is right on the edge.

While I'm at it, I may aswell ask about the 24pin, although I can't see this being so much of a problem.

When you install the motherboard the 8 pin power connection will be at the top of the case. If you want to run the 8 pin power cable up behind the motherboard tray so that it is out of sight, then you will need an inexpensive, eight inch long, extension cable that is available at numerous online vendors.

I mentioned an 8 pin power connection while you mentioned a 4 pin connection. That motherboard actually has an 8-pin connection. If you look closely at the photo you will a black plastic insert covering 4 sockets. Remove the black plastic insert and you can insert an 8 pin power cable. The board is designed to use either a 4 pin or 8 pin connection.

The 24 pin power cable will reach the 24 pin connection on what will be the front edge of the motherboard without any problem.

Cool, cheers johnny, I'll put in the cable order at the same time. Don't worry, I knew what you were on about with the 8pin, which I believe is known as EPS8pin or something along those lines.
