So, this is where I have came 8 hours of studying new hardware. I also have a duo core, but I figured that I could over-clock the 2.4 to go over the normal E8500 anyway :). What do you think, change anything?

Assuming the "House Brand" is the same as ECS:

The mobo can't do Yorkfields. Kentsfield is ok. The thing is the mobo needs the latest bios to support E8500. You can use the Q6600 to flash the bios.

The power supply is questionable. It will work... for a while. Not sure how they bundle these for $200. Impossible price. The Q6600 per se is about $200.

You're best off buying better parts from newegg.com.
