With that cooler, do you plan on overclocking? If so, you may want to jump to 700W, it all depends how far you want to take it.

I got the fan because the oem cpu didn't come with one and perhaps overclocking in the future.
Will the 650w not be enough? If I ever did overclock, I wouldn't push it too hard. Perhaps 3.0ghz?

Yeah that PSU will be fine, especially since you'll be limited to one PCI-E slot and aren't going to crossfire. You should consider getting the retail version of the burner since it doesn't cost too much more and comes with usefull things like screws, cables, and a copy of some burning program (usually Nero).

Thanks for the replies. I'm looking for the retail version of that drive but I can't find it on newegg.com. Were you meaning get a retail version of a burner in general?

The PSU is fine. Check out my system in my sig. I use nowhere near the full potential of my PSU. go to www.Anandtech.com and check out the article they just published about PSU's. It shows how much power you actually need. Everything else looks pretty good tho. Nice selection.

He meant the retail version of the burner, it includes the cable and burner software disc. Enthusiasts usually dl software they like, have SATA cables out the wazoo, but newer people or 1st timers may be better off using the retail version to get it included.

I'd suggest the Gigabyte EP43-DS3R. Same price, newer chipset. 650W is far more than you actually need for a single card setup.

The only reason I picked the EP35 is that people seem to have a lot of luck with it running osx86. Anyone have any knowledge about this? It's just something I wanted to mess around with. Other than the EP43 having the newer chipset and pcie 2.0 x16, will I see any real world gains? My guess is osx86 will run on the EP43 as well there's just not as much literature on it. If anyone has any experience with it any help would be great.
