i have a wireless router upstairs and I want to add a wireless access point downstairs because the wi fi strength drops downstairs. i would like the wireless access point also to be a router so that I can hard connect my desktop thats downstairs. i connected it all and created a new wap id but my internet keeps cutting out on my hardwired desktop - do i need to shut down dhcp on my wAp - will that kill the router functionality ?
