Than you for your reply but it still doesn't work. I am still getting the same message. I really need your help to get my drive working.
  3. I have tried the steps you sent, but I am still getting the same message when I trie to open the drive manualy. The drive still cannot read any cd or dvd I inserted. I suspect I hade remove something from the system which I am not sure what is it. I was deleting some files that I thought are viruses, after then this problem started. My computer a Toshiba Satelliten U205-S5034.

I do not see an "upper filters" listed in the registry. My system is bare bones XP Prof SP2. (cleaned by father in law). I cannot seen to install my Canon pixma MG3200. disk will not run. Print spooler is set up to auto start, but my system cannot "find" my printer connected via USB, powered up with power light on....lol. So, I tried another install CD (for my webcam) and the disk seems to be spinning.....just without results....HELP!!
