Hi I recently built my computer and used a hd 4870 x2 gpu

But when I play crysis on very high settings on 1680 x 1050 I get bad fps like 10-18 fps....

I have the latest driver cata 8.10

my hardware is

mobo = gigabyte x48

cpu = intel e8600 3.33

case = antec 1200

psu = corsair 1000wt

ram = 4gb mushkin ddr2 800

os = vista 64bit

any ideas? perhaps i need to oc?

our setups are quite similar, you obviously should be getting much better frames than that. Couple of things: Are you using AA ? Have you done a defrag lately, did you run driver sweeper before installing Cat 8.10? Is Catalyst AI enabled in the CCC ? Do you have Crysis patched fully? I am sure your problem lies somewhere in there. Good luck.

don't listen to them about overclocking, absolutely nothing to do with your problem.

However, make sure it is never in windowed mode as it only runs in 2d mode i believe.

all right thanks

We're not saying it's the source if his problems, because other people have already answered his question. We're just saying that overclocking to 4ghz isn't going to hurt anything, and if anything, will increase performance.
