Network security key

I am trying ti set up a wireless printer to my laptop. Both have the wireless capibility.
I inserted the cd in my computer and I am at a point that I have to enter SSID which I belive is the name of my wireless provider( Verizon Wireless- VZAccess), and my printer is LEXMARK X4650.
the instruction ask me to enter the Network Security key. I do not have any clue as how to find this number.

a network security key should have been setup when your router was installed.if not your network is wide open and not secured!!!!!!!!!
