New Power Supply?

I recently purchased a 4850 and replaced my 7950, I have an antec 500watt psu but my computer crashed yesterday when I let the heat run in my room since then I've closed the vent and no crashes. I also monitored the +12v rail voltages and in games like Crysis set to high quality the voltage would dip to 11.6 with cod4 maxed the voltages dipped to 11.7-11.9 does this decrease the performance of my computer? and if so by how much and will I see improvement in gameplay when I replace my PSU.

My Corsair HX520 runs OPCd Q6600 and HD4870.

The 12v rail dipping to 11.6 is really nothing to worry about!
