Hey, Im new to this site. Im building a new PC and ive £700 to spend. I've put one together using pcspecialist.co.uk but if anyone knows any similar sites they could recommend to use, that would be a big plus. Anyway, this is what ive got:
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™2 Duo E8400 (2 X 3.00GHz) 1333MHz FSB/6MB L2 Cache

Memory (RAM)
2GB CORSAIR XMS2 800MHz - LIFETIME WARRANTY! (2x1GB)

Motherboard
ASUS® P5K SE: DDR2, SATAII, PCI-e x16, 2 PCI, 3 x PCI-e x1

Operating System
Genuine Windows XP™ Home + SP3, CD & Licence

Memory - 1st Hard Disk
320GB SERIAL ATA II HARD DRIVE WITH 8MB CACHE (7,200rpm)

Power Supply & Case Cooling
600W Quiet Quad Rail PSU + 120mm Case Fan

Processor Cooling
SUPER QUIET 22dBA TRIPLE COPPER HEATPIPE CPU COOLER

Is this decent enough for the latest games or can i get something better for my money? Thanks.

You could get a lot better for your money if you built yourself. You still haven't mentioned a graphics card on that system which is a crucial part for playing games, and 2GB of ram is starting to feel a little dated given how cheap DDR2 memory has become. Here's an example...

I've also read some reviews on pcspecialist and im having 2nd thought about using them, is there any other websites with a similar idea like pick the parts and they do it for you? Im not very good at putting them together ;(

Can't you take your parts to a local shop and have them do it for you? I am sure if you ask around in your hometown you'll be surprised at the amount of places that are willing to do this.

+1 for the above post, you will more than likely save money and get a better system.

i have just put my first computer together and it is a good feeling when it all goes ok. but if you don't have the time to spend solving problems then i would defiantly have some 1 put it together 4 u.

hope this helps
