New i7 workstation

should i really go with the asus workstation MOBO or is the asus p6t deluxe? And is a pro video card really worth it? don't want to spend more $1500 on the build.

Hey all, thx for the welcome. well i'm building a new machine. Ive never done this before so bare with me.

i7 920
ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution
6 gig g.skill ddr3 1600 cl9
Western Digital Caviar Blue WD800JD 80GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
COOLER MASTER UCP RS700-AAAAA3 700W ATX12V
COOLER MASTER HAF 932 RC-932-KKN1-GP
EVGA GeForce GTX 280 1GB 512-bit GDDR3

those are the basic specs so far. Still deciding over a "pro" graphics card or a "gaming" one.

I'll mostly be using 3ds max, and After effects. Probably load XP 64 bit. Thoughts?

You don't need a professional graphics card. The GTX280 is super!

If you are going to spend that much on a sweet build ide say get a bigger HDD, you can get a 280gb for only $5 or $6 more.
