I have an HIS x1950 pro that I think is having overheating problems (weird artifacts after long use). I need to get some temperature readings to find out what is going on. Anyone have an opinion as to what is the best GPU temp monitor utility out there? ATI Tool? Riva Tuner? ATI Tray Tool? CCC? I'm just looking for something small and stable, that will give me temp reading and maybe adjust the fan speed. Thanks.

I use ATI Tool for my X1900XT.

I like it a lot. I use it to create a low power profile when I am not game which is loaded upon boot up. It automatically detects when I play a game and loads the default profile. Once I finish playing the low power profile come back into play.

Basically I lower the core speed to 175MHz, RAM is about 250MHz, and most of the voltages are lowered down to about 1.1v. I don't know off hand 'cause I'm using my other PC right now.

Of course you can also create an overclocked profile and use that for gaming.
