Do I have enough wattage for my setup?

I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition CPU, ASUS M2N-MX SE Plus Motherboard, 3GB DDR2 RAM, RAIDMAX RX-630SS 630 W SLI Ready PSU, XFX Nvidia 9800 GTX Black Edition, and a 120mm Silverstone fan and two 80mm Silverstone fans. (FM121 and FM82) I had my system overclocked to a 3.1 GHz until I installed the fans. While I was playing COD4 I would get really bad lag and then it would clear up after 10-15 seconds. I took my system back to stock settings and performance improved, however I still see some slow down briefly. So my question is, do I have a good enough PSU to power my system? I know the GPU requires a minimum 450 W PSU. Any help is greatly appreciated!

RAIDMAX... most are crap, but some are pretty good. If I had to guess I'd say that is one of the pretty good ones.

Your slowdowns are probably caused by overheating or something. Hard to tell really.

I think i found my answer....

+3.3V@25A,+5V@25A,+12V1@22A,+12V2@22A,,-12V@0.5A ,+5VSB@2.0A

Only 22 amps per rail... :( Looks like i'm gonna have to buy yet ANOTHER PSU!!!

So, I found this from the website I ordered the video card from....

475W PCI Express®-compliant system power supply with a combined 12V current rating of 26A or more

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't I have 44 amps combined? And if I need a new PSU, does anyone have any suggestions?

Whoa, that should be plenty of juice. The combined output of the +12V rails isn't cumulative for most power supplies (probably a little less than 44A for yours), but even so I don't think your PSU is the problem.

Like homerdog said your psu has more than enough amps for your vid card. Next thing to consider would be drivers. What version of forceware are you using ? Latest version is 178.13.

What I do when weird and random problems like this happen is I reinstall windows. Seems to take less time than try and figure out the problem.

I have the latest drivers. I guess I'll just have to stop being greedy and not overclock my system. I think you're right when you said it's a heat issue. I've never seen my CPU go over 55 C, but my motherboard has gone to like 45-47 C. One reason I thought it could be a wattage issue is when i turn the fan on my GPU up all the way is when I see the performance really go south. However, when I have the fan up all the way on my GPU is when my motherboard temps would stay 38-40 C. Thanks for all your help guys.
