I wanted to build a high quality gaming pc, but now it seems best to wait for Nehalem chips. I currently have a 2004 gateway series 700 desktop, with Windows XP Pro, Pentium 4 hyper thread CPU 533/800, 512MB ram, SB audigy sound card, a Radeon 9600 graphics card and a 380 watt Antec Power Supply. AGP slot and PCI slots.

Just save up and buy a new pc later. You are upgrading there, but not really anything fantastic.

I am interested in playing Crysis, Fallout3 and Oblivion. I loaded Oblivion and everything looks worse than XBOX360. Actually I have 3K now and was wondering whether to build now or wait. What's your opinion?
