Hi everybody, I have just purchaced the dvico 2230 tvix box . And i need to buy a 2.5 inch sata hard drive.
Now the box says its compatible with sata 2. But with sata 2 i can only get a 500 gb drive, unless i go to the new sata 3 which i can get a 1 tb size drive. My question is can i get the sata 3 drive 1 tb to work in the box , or is the connection diferent between sata 2 and sata 3?

look forward to your help cheers Arkwood

It will work.
The SATA standard is both backwards and forwards compatiable.
This means that ALL SATA devices will work on ALL SATA controllers.

Make sure it will fit - the only 1TB 2.5" drives that I know of are thicker than normal.
