OEM Freezing?

I just finished a new build, i3 2120, HD 7770 Biostar B75MU3B, PNY Optima 8gb RAM, and CM 500w. I try installing Windows 8 64-bit OEM and it freezes. This is my first build and extremely frustrating. I have no other operating system and no answers. Please help.

you didnt specify your HDD setup, is it raid?

Get ubuntu and try that first

Its a WD Caviar Blue 1TB oi tried ubuntu i dont know how im a noob. I put it on a fd but i cant put it on the computer.

If and when I get ubuntu up, should i update the mobo drivers and everything, and then try to use windows? how would i start the windows download from ubuntu?

Pull out all but one stick of ram and try installing..... or run memtest on the ram to see if you have a bad stick.
