I have perfect fps in far cry 2, having 60 fps (vsync) with ultra high settings, but when I play I randomly get black spots on my screen for half a second or so, maybe even less. They show up when I turn on my overclock, also on stock settings. So it is not related to overclocking. These black spots can be small, but sometimes they can be as big as 1/4th of my screen they never stay long enough to get a screenshot of.

Do you have the 8.10 drivers installed? I got something similar with the 8.9 drivers and once I updated it fixed it.

I have the 8.10 hotfix drivers installed.

Try the non hotfix 8.10 drivers. I have heard that the hotfix ones cause troubles with the HD4800 series.
