Greetings -

Looking for recommendations for a wireless router to replace our D-Link DI-624, which simply doesn't have the range we need (~50 feet, through 3 walls).

Requirements:
Works with PCs & Macs
2 wired LAN ports
Plays nicely with Comcast service (Brookline, MA - ARRIS router)

Typically, it'll need to support my desktop PC and my son's Macbook simultaneously.

Looking to spend ~$100. Less is fine too.

Gaming is not a requirement, tho' adequate speed to stream youTube videos would be welcome.

Thanks.

- Richard

Hi Richard,
I buy all wifi hardware now from keenansystems.com. EnGenius routers and adapters cards. Not fancy looking, but very powerful vs the usual brands.
ECB-8610S A-B-G Router 6oo mW! $99. Others less/more.
EPI-3601S 600 mW pci WIFI card! $25. Through 5 plaster walls had 3-4x the signal of Linksys, etc. Use XP Zero Config or Engenius driver. Just a suggestion.
Engenius is the best, & I tried 3-4 brands. fallsoff
