Hi, I ve got this new homebuilt system and am getting it back today, but I worry that my new HD4850 graphics card would burn the other stuff in my pc like my motherboard, processor, hard disk and ram and so on. The HD4850 from ATI runs at 70++ degrees C at idle mode and is this a high temperature. And would the high heat and hot air produced by the graphics card get to other components in the PC and burn them up like the motherboard or processor or other stuff? What is the critical temperature for the whole thing, the things inside the casing. The whole CPU that is?

Each part of your computer has it's own maximum temp.

There are several things contributing to heat in your case: CPU, MB chipset, power supply, graphics card. Even your hard drive heats things up.

This is why we stress good airflow to people shopping for a case.
